Ashraf Al-Laithi, head of the local unit of the city and center of Menouf in the governorate of Menoufia, today, Tuesday, led an extensive inspection campaign in coordination with the directorates of health, veterinary medicine, ration control and security agencies in the center's domain, which resulted in seizing a refrigerator of foodstuffs containing frozen meat, fish and expired poultry in the Ezbet Al-Sa`ida district of the unit The local authorities in Hamul, and 1300 kg of meat, poultry and fish were seized, unfit for human consumption, and all necessary legal measures were taken against the violators and the Public Prosecution office was notified of the work of its affairs in this regard.
The governor of Menoufia stressed on the heads of local units in the governorate's centers and cities, and in coordination with the directorates of services and security agencies, to continuously launch inspection and monitoring campaigns to confront promoters of spoiled and expired meat to limit the spread of adulterated goods in order to save the rights of citizens.
