In accordance with the directives of the Governor, Dr. Ayman Mokhtar, the Secretary General held a coordination meeting to discuss the special procedures concerning the study of the establishment of a plant for the recycling of construction, medical and organic wastes.

He pointed out that Merkez Monouf was selected for the study of the establishment of a recycling plant for the construction waste (bricks, interlock and New Jersey), as Monouf is located in the center of Menoufia.

In addition, he gave directions to the Director of the Environment Department to conduct field visits to the solid waste recycling plant on 6th of October City to find out the possibilities of the plant and the extent of its implementation in Monufia, with the help of other expertise. The methods of transporting such waste to the plant, and the possibility of recycling and removing organic waste safely were also discussed.

He stressed that the aim of the plant is to exploit its products and to save the wasted expenses in order to preserve the civilized form by removing all waste from the roads. He pointed to the continuous development of the plant to ensure efficient work by providing it with the latest scientific specifications and technologies to cope with the increase in population density.

The meeting was attended by heads of Cities, districts and managers of Planning, Follow-up, Environment and cleanliness system and properties in the General Directorate.
